Differentely Abled kids.

Most of us have met special or shall I say differently abled people in our life. I have know a few kids in fact there is one in my class.

The sad part is that society just does not accept different people. They often get teased, laughed at and are generally not treated very well. Public places like malls, bus stops, theaters and even many schools are not very friendly to such people.

I have met kids with down syndrome, metal retardation (not a very correct word), autism and multiple sclerosis and some physically and visually impaired people. Most of these people have been teased and laughed at but, not many of them have cried, do we realise how strong they are? If someone would tease me to this point I would have cried. Why can't we help such people, why can't we accept them?

But, yes I can say we are changing our attitude, but very slowly. I am talking about 'all' different people, including transgender, or people with a mental disorder.
I admire the courage their parents have and I hope that we change our attitude towards them. I hope we remember we are lucky to be born normal and I will keep hoping...
